Digital Signature
Those who send documents electronically often use PDF files, the reason being that in a PDF your document's layout is well preserved. However, an electronic PDF is not secure enough for documents with a legal, economic or administrative value. Hackers would still be able to modify the document. And how can you prove you did actually send the document?
Secure and legally binding
Document Dialog offers you the solution with the digital signature. If you link this to a PDF document, you can guarantee that:
- the document came from you;
- the document has not been modified en route;
- you did actually send the document.
On top of that, the digital signature is legally binding: according to the Directive 99/93/EC it is equal to a signature on paper. The condition applied is that the signature must have been made in a reliable manner. That calls for a good implementation of this technology. We would like to help with you this as well.
Investment in the future
The digital signature is an investment in the future. Once this signature has been integrated into your infrastructure, PDF can take the place of EDI (Electronic Data Exchange). Admittedly, EDI allows you to exchange electronic information as well, but EDI messages are not easy to read and the software for it is expensive. To replace this technology with PDF, including the digital signature, is therefore an attractive alternative.
