TransPromo

Every document has some white space. Invoices and statements or other transaction documents in particular. This space gives you ample opportunity to address your customer personally. You can then strengthen the relationship with your customer and make an even more effective use of your documents for marketing purposes.

Personalised information

We refer to this as TransPromo: the combination of transaction data with promotional content. A critical criterion for these ‘promotions’ is  that the content should be based on the knowledge you have of your customer. General messages are out, personalised information that is really useful to your customer is in. It could be some advice on a new product, or on a product he already uses: how can he benefit more from it? What are the latest options?

White Space Management

TransPromo often goes hand in hand with White Space Management. This enables you to use the empty space on your documents effectively. That means you have to have the right document templates to begin with. They must have specific areas reserved for TransPromo messages. You can see this in the following invoice for example:

  • The green area is where the customer can leave his questions. Because of the personal login code, this information is customer specific. Convenient icons help to keep the information simple and clear.
  • The red area contains extra marketing messages for the customer. You can use it to draw attention to new products. Your database picks those products that are of interest to this specific customer.
The example of Pitney Bowes’ own bill demonstrates the new design concepts.
