So, what is e2 Suite?

How does it work?

The core of the e2 Suite is the e2 Vault. In this repository the documents and data coming from DOC1 Suite or other systems are ingested at high-speed and compressed to minimize storage space. The system does not have to be shutdown when the document ingestion and compression takes place. Users can continue to work as normal. The documents are stored in their original format. i.e. AFPDS, PostScript, PCL, PDF, etc. Any electronic document format (or data format, such as CSV or XML) can be stored in the e2 Vault as long as it is accompanied by an index file that contains the metadata about the documents (or data). The number of indexes that can be used is unlimited.

Once in the e2 Vault, the documents and data can be retrieved and presented thru a number of ways. There are out-of-the-box web interfaces for both internal (for example CSRs) and external users (your customers. API sets are available for integration into you CRM, Intranet, Website or other systems and applications. The e2 Vault can also send-out an e-mail, notifying the user that a document has been produced. The e-mail can contain an URL to the location of the document. The user only has to click the link, log-on and view the document.

The documents will be rendered from the original format and displayed on the users screen as a GIF (default). The user has the possibility to request the document as a PDF for printing, storage or forwarding to other users. Other display formats, such as HTML are optional. Although the rendering engine can handle multiple requests per second and has therefore sub second response, the number of rendering engines can be expanded to meet the required response times.
